Sebastiano Zorza studied at M° Flocco Fiori’s school. He then improved his art with the best accordion performers and teachers such as Wladimir Subitzki, Raimond Bodell, Alexander Skliarov, Juri Schischkin , Elio Boschello and Ivano Paterno. In addition he graduated in clarinet at the J.Tomadini Conservatory in Udine and he got his degree in accordion with honors at the A. Steffani Conservatory in Castelfranco Veneto.

From 1988 to 1995 he was awarded and won many first prizes in several national and international competitions both as a solo artist and in chamber groups. The following to be mentioned: the International Competition in Camalò, the International Competition La Fornacetta of Barga, le Grand prix international de l’accordeon, the Coppa Europa, the International Competition in Stresa, the World Trophy, the International Competition in Pola.

Thanks to his intense concert activity he performed in several countries such as Belgium, Germany, Canada, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Serbia, Russia, Latvia, Estonia and Japan.

His presence in the most important works of Astor Piazzolla is outstanding. Especially in Maria de Buenos Aires, Aconcagua Concert, Hommage a Liège, and Tres tangos with the Orchestra Sinfonica Regionale of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Karmelòs Orchestra, as well as his other performances, even as a solo artist, with chamber groups and orchestras, such as the S. Mihovilic Orchestra of Pola, Naonis Orchestra, the Virtuosi of Aquileia, the Concordia Chamber Orchestra, the Ars Atelier Orchestra, the Canzoni di Confine Orchestra, the Società Filarmonia Orchestra, the Ruda Poliphonic Choir, the Zagreb Symphonic Orchestra, the Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan and the Orchestra Sinfonica dell’ERSU of Catania, the International Chamber Music Orchestra, the Orchestra dei Virtuosi Italiani.

He often performed as a soloist in a lot of theatres such as the G. Verdi in Terni, the Giovanni da Udine, the G. Verdi in Trieste, the Teatro dal Verme in Milan, the Cancariev dom in Ljubljana, the Lisinski Theater in Zagreb, the Tokyo Opera City hall, the Yokohama hall, the Teatro Nuovo in Verona, the International Prize and Award in Castelfidardo and in many festivals dedicated to the accordion.

He has been invited several times to represent the openings with compositions, expressly written for him by the authors, which he played in different settings: chamber groups, accordion and orchestra or accordion and choir . In particular the adaptation of the four Seasons by Astor Piazzolla for accordion and string orchestra is considered outstanding.

He is strongly active in the discographic field and he boasts more than fourty recordings for the following labels: Artesuono, Sinfonica, Croatia records, Up to date-records, Deja vu. He also recorded in broadcasts for RTV SLO1, RTV SLO2, RAI Radio Televisione Italiana, Japanese Broadcast, RTV Zagreb, RTV Serbia and the Canadian Broadcast.

He taught in two workshops about technique and accordion repertoire at the J. Tomadini Conservatory in Udine.

As a charter member of the “Canzoni di Confine” Association, he partnered with internationally known singers and songwriters such as Sergio Endrigo, Bruno Lauzi, Edoardo De Angelis, Rossana Casale, Antonella Ruggiero, Franco Simone, Ron, Tosca, Arsen Dedic, Tinkara, Elisa, Milva, Bungaro, Vlado Kreslin, Zoran Predin, Omara Portuondo, Manuel Argudin, Matteo Setti, Alice, Oliver Dragoievic, Francesco Di Giacomo, le Balentes, Barbara Cola, Gigliola Cinquetti.
