KAMI is an immersive musical experience, a transcontinental journey that weaves together the meditative depth of ambient music, the pulsing power of world music, and the improvisational drive of jazz.

The project takes its name from the Shinto concept that recognizes the presence of the divine in every element of nature: in the silence of the rock, the whisper of the wind, and the flow of a river.

Through an epic and floating sound dramaturgy, KAMI sets out to map the geography of the soul, translating into music that profound sense of connection linking humanity to the invisible. Voice, saxophones, guitars, and electronics engage in a hypnotic dialogue, guiding the listener through the world’s spiritual sanctuaries.

On this journey, the cosmic devotion of India, the ancient stone of Caucasian monasteries, and the vastness of Native American canyons intertwine with the warmth of Italian folk, the mystical mist of Celtic tradition, the Zen contemplation of Japanese culture, and the solar energy of West African rhythms.

KAMI is an invitation to pause, yield to the currents, and trace the paths back to rediscovering, through the pure vibration of sound, the most sacred, serene, and luminous part of our shared humanity.

The pieces are original compositions or arrangements by the trio, drawing inspiration from diverse cultures and traditional musics (India, Armenia, Italy, USA, Africa, Ireland, Japan)
